Part way there you will meet a fearsome band of warriors at Stanford Bridge. Defeating them with your paper swords, you will get your next clue and find your way towards Hastings. Near Hastings you must sail to the British Isles. The site will have a babbling brook. Everyone is encouraged to devise all manner of small floating craft for yon brook. The quickest self-propelled craft shall be acclaimed a kingly craft! The winner shall be gifted a fine steel conical helmet to keep and shall be granted the role of the mighty King William. Much acclaim shall also be heaped on the crafter of the most comely ship, and they shall be awarded this fine strong seax. After the sea journey, the Battle of Hasting shall be convened among all comers, bravely battling with bright paper-swords. Instructions on making paper swords Following the inevitable Norman victory, an afternoon celebratory slap-up luncheon shall be held, from the provisions provided by the participants. This shall be followed by divers games and amusements to wile away the rest of the afternoon. |
